Setting up Gramps Portable takes only a few minutes and requires no administrative privileges on your computer.
Download: Grab the installer package from the Gramps Portable page on PortableApps.com.
Target Storage: Connect your USB thumb drive or open your synchronized cloud storage folder.
Extraction: Run the downloaded file and select your external drive directory as the target destination.
Execution: Navigate to the folder and double-click GrampsPortable.exe to launch the application.
Tree Creation: Click Family Trees > Manage Family Trees and select New to start your database.
